Janeal Banzhoff
Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

Hello. My name is Janeal, and I am an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor and Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, and a Registered Substance Use Disorder Counselor. I have worked with a variety of different populations, children, mood disorders, children with intellectual disabilities, personality disorders, anxiety, trauma, and depression.

I enjoy counseling with a variety of populations, and I have worked with individuals experiencing work stress, family issues, PTSD, anxiety, moral injury, depression, military/first responders, seniors/aging, grief/loss, and addictions. I also love helping couples and families adjust to healthy relationship patterns, and work through relationship issues. My therapeutic approach is grounded in empathy, cultural competence, and evidence-based practices. I utilize evidenced based modalities including CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR, CPT, PE, Motivational Interviewing, EMDR, and several others. I am passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where clients of all backgrounds can explore their emotions and navigate life's challenges. I especially excel in working with individuals, families, and children experiencing trauma, substance use, depression, anxiety, aging, grief/loss, and moral injury.

As a therapist, my passion for serving military members, veterans, first responders, and their families was born out of my work alongside Tier One Special Forces during my time as a Department of Defense contract manager. I had the unique opportunity to help coordinate high-level training events nationwide, often collaborating with local SWAT teams and police departments. This experience provided deep insight into the complex mental health needs of those who serve and protect our country and communities, and it inspired my commitment to becoming a therapist who could help them heal.
