Claire is a former public-school educator with over 15 years of experience supporting students and families in diverse and high-pressure environments, including in a Title I school setting. After a long career in education, she pursued her Master of Social Work to expand her ability to support individuals navigating stress, trauma, and life transitions.
In addition to her work in education, Claire has clinical experience in a clubhouse setting, where she supported individuals living with mental health diagnoses through psychosocial support, skill-building, and case management. In this role, she assisted clients in navigating resources, maintaining stability, and working toward personal recovery goals, while collaborating within a team-based, recovery-oriented model of care.
Claire utilizes a trauma-informed, cognitive behavioral (CBT), and strengths-based approach in her work. She is also a certified movement therapy practitioner and incorporates mind-body awareness into her practice when appropriate. She brings a calm, practical, and compassionate presence, shaped by years of supporting individuals through complex challenges.
She has a particular interest in working with first responders and veterans, recognizing the unique demands and stressors these roles carry. She understands that in these roles, strength is often prioritized over self-care, and she works to create a space where first responders can decompress, process experiences, and receive support without judgment.
Her background allows her to connect easily with individuals from a wide range of experiences, offering a grounded and approachable presence. Claire is committed to creating a space where clients feel understood, respected, and supported.
